Manage episode 469265358 series 1278496
In this week’s episode, we sit down with the incredible Kayla Gonzalez, a professional dancer whose journey with alopecia has shaped her resilience, self-love, and passion for movement. 💃✨
I first met Kayla when she was just 13 years old, dancing at Dance Zone in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the same age, she was diagnosed with alopecia, a condition that at first seemed like a devastating challenge. However, through dance and personal growth, Kayla transformed her perspective and found an empowering sense of self-acceptance.
After earning her BFA in Dance from Wayne State University and becoming certified in Stop Pilates, Kayla followed her dreams to New York City 🌆, where she thrives as a dancer, educator, and traveler. She now works as the lead Competition Administrator at Amplified Productions, continuing to share her love for dance with the world.
🌟 In this episode, Kayla shares: ✅ How alopecia shaped her identity and confidence ✅ The role dance played in her journey to self-acceptance ✅ Her transition from Las Vegas to NYC to pursue her passion ✅ Insight into working with Amplified Productions and supporting dancers
This conversation is a must-watch for dancers, creatives, and anyone seeking inspiration on overcoming adversity! 🙌
