After the death of a beloved pope, cardinals from all over the world fly into the Vatican to be sequestered and elect a new leader of the Catholic Church. There are secrets and intrigue and a bucket of mysteries surrounding the papal candidates — and we get a window into one of the most ancient religious events still in existence today. It’s gorgeous and fascinating — let’s get into it!
