Professor Joe Baker from the University of Toronto. He’s author/editor of 13 books including the Tyranny of Talent, he has authored more than 300 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.

What is talent? Why are we using this word so easily? What is the impact of calling someone talented? Should we be using this word? Joe is one of the leading researchers in this space on talent as well as getting to talk to him about some of his findings in aging older athletes.

Expect to learn; why we are compelled to use the word talent, the impact of labelling athletes as talented, whether the US is hyping college athletes up too early, why elite athletes are going to be competing into their 40’s, and much more.
