We give an overview on Catholic exegesis in conformity with the Church's Magisterium and then share an audio version of the Navarre Bible commentary on today's Gospel from Luke 2:41-52. The commentary reflect on the interaction of Jesus at 12 years old with His parents, Mary and Joseph. The commentary describes this passage as the only instance in any of the Gospels in which we get a glimpse into Jesus' hidden years of obscurity as He lived out an ordinary life before His public ministry.
