Do Christians need to follow the Old Testament? This question often arises, especially regarding the Ten Commandments. The Old Testament is foundational, containing God's laws and prophecies pointing to Jesus. Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament laws, introducing a new covenant based on internal transformation. While ceremonial and civil laws were specific to the Israelites, the moral laws, including the Ten Commandments, continue to guide Christian ethics. Understanding the Old Testament through the New Testament lens helps us appreciate God's continuous plan and live out His will more fully.
