In a recent study, published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, research found 10- and 18-year-olds who spent more time focused on devices, including phones, televisions, computers, and gaming consoles, were at higher risk for cardiometabolic diseases, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and insulin resistance. Dr. Frank Smart, Professor of Preventative Cardiology and Chief of the Section of Cardiology at LSU Health New Orleans, joins Newell to discuss the study.
