Star Trek and Star Wars both picture a future where space has become a geopolitical battleground for nations. Stellar Magnet wants to build the counterpart to that dystopian image.

Her goal with “Black Sky” is to create a decentralized and non-governmental organization that is a serious contributor to the future of humanity and space.

Huge aspirations require specific designs: Stellar wants to build a very large-scale cooperative DAO, where millions of people own a small part, and that stands opposed to DAOs where whales own most because they put the money.

A decentralized space agency is a project that needs billions of dollars to be successful. But if it is, then Stellar believes this project can make the world more connected and inspire future generations to think beyond nationality and race.

“If we have a more peaceful, united world that is no longer in constant war, then what the world would be doing is exploring space, understanding the cosmos, trying to find out where we come from. Finding answers about evolution and if there's extraterrestrial intelligent life out there.”

To get started on this great journey, Stellar is seeking for funding for two smaller projects. One is “Black Sky Nexus,” a zine and a wiki that wants to teach people with articles and guides about privacy and anonymity.

The other project is an artist's residency in New Mexico that wants to support women that create digital art to experiment with NFTs.
