(Recorded May 4, 2025) This week we are discussing episode eight (ep nine for the purposes of this podcast) of the cult classic revival of Dark Shadows, that we’re calling, “There Can Be Only One," and boy is it a doozy. Josette finally arrives to Collinwood and we finally find out the origin story for that stupid music box. While Barnabas rolls around in the grass with Josette, Angelique doesn’t even wait a day to cast a spell that will ruin his life in many ways. Victoria stays not beating the allegations that she’s insane and a witch (and that’s not even because she taught the children Over the Rainbow). Jeremiah keeps being hot (the brocade vest somehow makes him hotter?) and unfortunately, that hotness leads to his downfall. Plus, Meaghan discovers a late 80’s gem, George does the Bartman, and we discuss what would've been a more satisfying approach to ruining a life had we been Angelique. (Original network airdate February 15, 1991)
