In this week's episode of the Nonsexual Soulmates podcast, we dive into the theme of creativity and courage, inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic.
How can we push past fear to embrace whatever creative pursuit we enjoy? How do we take fear out of the driver's seat but recognize it will probably always be a passenger and how can we still enjoy the ride?
From sharing personal experiences like starting the podcast to reflecting on the balance of courage and fear, we emphasize that creativity isn’t just about art—it’s about living curiously and authentically. You don't have to engage in one of the "classical" arts or do something highbrow- you can glue glitter on a disco ball and hang it in your bathroom, just be curious, let yourself play, and get out there.
Finally, Kailey realizes the importance of being a “yes person” to support others’ creative endeavors and the value of practice in bringing ideas to life.
Tune in for an inspiring conversation about saying yes to creativity and no to fear, plus a sneak peek at next week’s special guest interview with artist Amanda Booth!
