New York’s State Senate has passed the Medical Aid in Dying Act, which would allow terminally ill patients to request life-ending medication. The bill now awaits Governor Hochul’s decision. Meanwhile, it’s Primary Day in New Jersey, where voters are selecting party nominees for governor and state assembly seats. Also, a fire at a Grand Central Madison substation disrupted Long Island Rail Road service. Two people were injured.
