A Donegal teacher has highlighted the rise in abuse faced by teachers.
The issue was covered in a special Prime Time programme on RTE last night.
It's thought that female teachers are being subjected to harassment and abuse across the country.
There are fears that the harmful online content is having an impact on the perception some young males have of females.
Vice President of the ASTI, Padraig Curley, says there were shocking levels of abuse faced by some teachers just for doing their job:
