Meet Mr. Dick Forbes, who began his apprenticeship in 1956...he came up in the trade when moldmaking was really just getting started. I hope you'll enjoy his take on seeing the industry go from simple milling machines to the introduction EDM, and to calculators and finally to the introduction of CNC equipment into the toolroom. Can you even imagine today having to figure out every trig problem long-hand? That's how they did it.
