Broadway is My Beat - The Dion Hartley Murder Case
Manage episode 481060261 series 3603785
Detective Danny Clover is urgently called to Dion Hartley's apartment. Mr. Hartley is a collector of many exquisite pieces of priceless art, but has grown tired of this hobby. He now likes to influence others to do his bidding. He said he has influenced others to try and murder him, and now wants the Detective in his game to try to protect him. He said that if he is not murdered by the end of the week, he will donate 50 thousand dollars to Danny's favorite charity. Broadway knew Dion Hartley as a writer who worked for a magazine named "Satire". Danny went to the offices to speak to the editor, Miss Sybil Reynard. She tells Danny that she has a love/hate relationship with Dion, and could kill him, but is willing to wager that Camden Drake, a writer from Greenwich Village, will be the one that actually murders him.
