Stage actress Christina Bancroft hires Michael for protection for three days, until the play ends in New Orleans. She says someone is trying to kill her, but she does not know who, or why. After the interview, Michael stood in the wings of the theater watching the play. Near the end, two men walked over to Michael and introduced themselves; Hamilton Dunn, the director of the play, and Frank Harper, Christina's business manager. Later, Michael was talking to Christina in her dressing room. He asks her "why do you think someone is trying to kill you? What evidence do you have?" Based upon her reply, Michael says "you are lying to me. You know who is after you, and you know why. So, let's have it."
