Nancy is a mediator, collaborative family lawyer and author of Collaborative Practice, Deepening the Dialogue.
In today's episode, she shares with us how she leaned on her strength in communicating through writing by sharing a poem with her father to begin a series of poignant conversations as he approached his assisted end of life date.
She also shares the conversation she regrets not having and encourages all of us to tell the people in our lives how we feel about them.
Nancy's favourite conversation tip: Pause and get curious!
"But that ability to put a pause on our immediate response, make some space for that response flexibility, and then go to curious questions, I think that's the biggest gift to me of everything that I've learned from my conflict training is that that's kind of where our key lies. That's where our freedom lies, is being able to expand that place between our immediate reaction and then go to curiosity. "
