#64 Power of Silence, Part 3: Take a Moment to Change Hats
Manage episode 453847469 series 3513509
As resilient women, we wear a lot of hats. Caregiver, professional, friend, partner, mentor—the list goes on. We juggle roles with grace, but sometimes, in the rush of it all, we forget to take a breath. We move from one responsibility to the next without pausing to exhale, let alone change hats. And over time, everything builds up.
We don’t realize how much we carry from one role to another until the weight feels unbearable. The stress from one space seeps into the next, and suddenly, what was manageable becomes overwhelming.
Before you step into the next role, pause. Just five minutes can make all the difference. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and take off one hat before putting on another. That small act of silence can renew and refresh your spirit, leaving you better equipped for the next space you’re about to enter.
But when we pause, we reset. We allow ourselves to fully embrace each role with clarity and presence. You’re a resilient woman, and you wear many hats. But you’re not meant to carry them all at once. Take the time to exhale and refresh—you deserve it.

"There is a benefit in learning how to compartmentalize, to be able to be where you're at at that moment."
"You have to take a moment to transition and change hats."
