#74- From Football to Faith: Why Owning Your Yes Means Trusting God's Game Plan
Manage episode 466424504 series 3513509
Somebody is going to lose the game. That’s just how it works. One team walks away with the win, the other with a loss. And just like in football, life presents us with choices—plays we think will move us forward, decisions that look good on paper. But what happens when both options seem right? When saying yes feels like the obvious next move, but deep down, we’re unsure?
Not every opportunity is meant for us. Not every request requires an urgent response. And everybody’s fire doesn’t have to be our fire. The anxiety we feel when faced with too many choices isn’t a sign to push forward—it’s often God telling us to step back and trust him.
God’s plan is already in motion. He’s calling the plays, shaping the path, and leading the way. Our job isn’t to force a decision—it’s to listen. To wait. To trust.
If you’re feeling stuck, let this be your reminder: You don’t have to have it all figured out today. Surrender the outcome. Let go of the pressure. And trust that God’s plan will unfold exactly as it should.
Quotes from Today’s Episode:
"Everybody's fire doesn't have to be my fire."
"Remember, sometimes the best thing to do is do nothing until you let God unfold his game plan. Let God call the plays."
