Hello beautiful people
Elvar Elvarsson from Iceland here. I've been taking some time off the podcast since I'm working on a radio show for public radio in Iceland - so now I'm doing a few follow ups with the people I've already interviewed to get some points that I didn't get to the first time. This morning I talked to the very majestic David Yow, who has become one of my all time favourite people.
You should know Yow from his tenure with The Jesus Lizard - who just fell into full swing - with a full album released last year and a slew of singles since then - all fucking great.
Yow also released a great solo album in 2013 titled Tonight You Look Like A Spider. He also sang with Flipper for a few years and has done great one offs with the Melvins and other bands.
David just relocated to Portugal and is loving it. He's always the nicest guy in the room and just an incredible talent. A true southern gentleman.
I'll be doing a few of those follow up interviews and then I'll wrap up season 1 of Peeling The Onion to do the radio show and then I'll be back I guess next fall or so - we'll see
