In this episode, I’m joined by Jen Porteous as she shares her multifaceted journey of suffering from burnout in her corporate career, having a failed marriage, and balancing working and being a mother. She fell victim to the narratives of not needing a man in her life, which sent negative messages to her boys, who would grow up to be men. She went on a personal journey and changed her relationship with herself, with God, with men, money, her children, and her friendships with women.

Projecting negative views of men onto her boys.

Where the narrative stems from that men are wrong and women don’t need them.

How hookup culture created a disconnect between men and women.

Where the respect of men went out the window.

How the “boss babe” culture negatively impacts our view of men.

The steps Jen took to heal her relationship with men and God.

What led Jen into the New Age and why she decided to break free from it.

The idea of smashing the patriarchy and goddess culture in the New Age.

Giving it to God and surrendering vs. being in battle on your own. Tuning into your womanly wisdom and insight.

What the Bible says about manifestations.

False idols and goddess culture.

The difference between an attitude and an embodiment.

How Jen’s interactions with men have changed.

The main things that men need from women.

Communication should not be a competition, but a collaboration.

Courting vs dating and embracing your feminine embodiment.

In this transformative episode, I sit down with Ryan Albury to explore what it means to be a man in today’s world. We dive deep into the cultural war on masculinity and discuss the missing initiations of manhood that leave many men without a clear roadmap to maturity. Ryan reflects on how traditional rites of passage and lessons about responsibility, strength, and purpose—things we were never taught in school—are critical for shaping a man’s identity. Ryan shares his journey from the new age movement to finding faith in Jesus Christ, unpacking the narrow path of Christianity and how it acts as a profound maturing process. He describes how living a Christ-centered life fosters a different way of being—one rooted in integrity, self-discipline, and purpose. We also examine the impact of historical movements such as the free love and feminist movements, and how these societal shifts influenced men, leaving many feeling disoriented and causing some to give up on women altogether. Our conversation emphasizes the value of a woman through the lens of scripture, underscoring the importance of honoring and cherishing women in building God-centered relationships and communities. Ryan offers practical advice on healing relationships as a Christian, emphasizing forgiveness, humility, and grace as essential tools for nurturing bonds between men and women. Together, we explore how Christ’s teachings provide a timeless blueprint for restoration, respect, and enduring love. In this compelling episode, Rev. Dr. Rob Reimer unpacks deep spiritual truths about forgiveness, fear, healing wounds, and deliverance ministry. Together, we explore how these areas impact our emotional and spiritual well-being, offering practical steps for finding freedom and restoration through Christ. Forgiveness is a key theme, as Rob explains how everyone experiences hurt in life. Choosing not to forgive leads to a distorted perspective, creating what he calls a “tainted lens.” This unforgiveness not only harms our relationships but gives the enemy a foothold in our lives. Fear is another area we dive into, with Rob shedding light on why "Fear not" is the most repeated command in Scripture—appearing over 365 times. God’s promise to “fear not” isn’t about avoiding pain or hardship but about His presence with us through every trial. This eternal perspective shifts our focus from earthly struggles to our identity as sons & daughters of the King, reminding us that our ultimate hope lyes in our heavenly citizenship. We also delve into the universal experience of wounds. Even Jesus, described as a man of sorrows, was wounded. Rob explains how God can redeem our pain, turning us into “wounded healers” who bring hope and healing to others. This chapter from his book highlights how we can surrender our wounds to God and experience profound restoration. One of the most powerful discussions centers on deliverance ministry, a practice often neglected by the modern church but central to Jesus’ mission. Rob shares how demonic oppression can manifest in areas like anxiety, depression, and addiction, and why deliverance is essential for true freedom. He offers practical insights into recognizing & addressing demonic influence, emphasizing that Jesus' ministry of casting out demons is as relevant today as it was in biblical times. The episode is filled with heartfelt testimonies, including stories of individuals freed from decades of torment after attending soul care conferences. Rob underscores the urgency for the church to reclaim its biblical mandate to preach, heal, and cast out demons, calling the neglect of deliverance ministry “cosmic treason.” Lisa reflects on her own experiences with deliverance, sharing how acknowledging the reality of evil led to greater freedom and peace in her life. This episode is a powerful reminder that healing and freedom are available to everyone through the ministry of Jesus. Forgiveness, courage, and deliverance are essential steps toward living a life of spiritual wholeness. Guest Bio: Rev. Dr. Rob Reimer’s passion is to see the kingdom of God advance through spiritual renewal. As Founder and President of Renewal International, Rob works with pastors, leaders and churches internationally to equip the people of God to live in freedom and to walk in the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit. Some of his books that have sold worldwide are Soul Care, Deep Faith, River Dwellers, Pathways to the King , Spiritual Authority and The Tenderness of Jesus . Rob regularly leads Soul Care Conference™, Holy Spirit Weekend™, Deliverance Training Workshop™ and various livestreams and is devoted to fulfilling his call to mentor Christian leaders in many different denominations. Personally transparent, Rob relates lessons learned as he walked with God, responded to His Word, and processed pain in marriage and ministry, finding freedom and fullness in Christ. https://renewalinternational.org/rob-reimer Affiliates: Lisa's Tallow: http://www.theforestcabins.com/tallow Wild Wholistic use code 'LISA' for a discount at checkout https://wildwholistic.com/?sca_ref=3666298.AHHDQrvkCW Redmonds Real Salt 15% off with the link - discount code 'PHOENIX' https://redmond.life/?platform=grin&link_id=1782791&token=RzhoxQ8KMqNAHIFbYrDAiLs5uJIZqUXa&contact_id=178c8c39-bef8-4077-b2e7-e11adfdf406b&attribution_window=30 Alison Armstrongs Courses https://www.alisonarmstrong.com/curriculum/getstarted.html?ctid=C28D4A2B604…

In this powerful episode, I dive deep with Martine DeLuna into what it truly means to embody the essence of a well-loved woman. Together, we explore how this concept intertwines with Germanic New Medicine, the biological roles of men and women, and the profound journey of a God-led woman. First episode with Martine on the podcast: EP 97: The Fundamental Truth of the Polarity of the Masculine and the Feminine Guest Bio: I support WOMEN — single and married, young and in their mid-life years — to RESPECT “the Masculine” in Men, in Life and, in GOD, so that they can enjoy being in the Feminine Woman in relationship with their suitors or spouses. My community is filled with women — single or married women — who are in some kind of profession or business: life coaches, authors, consultants, teachers, fitness coaches, writers, creatives, executives, network marketers and freelancers. One thing they all have in common: They would like to live in true Feminine Being-ness, rather than force and hustle. End the hustle. In this powerful and insightful episode, Traver Boehm and Lisa Hillyer dive deep into the critical issues of pain, addiction, and societal expectations facing both men and women. Traver shares his personal experiences and observations on the epidemic levels of opiate use in America, the underlying pain driving substance abuse, and the societal pressures that contribute to mental health crises, especially among men. They discuss the importance of creating spaces where men can express vulnerability, the cultural divide between genders, and the urgent need for compassion and understanding to bridge these gaps. Opiate Epidemic : Traver recalls a talk he gave in 2011, highlighting America's excessive consumption of opiates compared to the rest of the world. He emphasizes the correlation between high painkiller use and the underlying pain in society. Substance Abuse as Pain Management : The conversation explores how alcohol and drugs are often used as coping mechanisms for pain, social anxiety, and the pressure to conform to societal norms. Men's Workshops : Traver discusses the significance of men's workshops where participants are encouraged to express their emotions and experiences freely, fostering a supportive environment that contrasts sharply with societal expectations of stoicism. Gender Differences in Handling Pain : Lisa and Traver talk about how men and women are conditioned differently in dealing with pain and trauma. Women are generally more accepted in seeking therapy and expressing emotions, whereas men face stigma and pressure to "man up." Societal Expectations and Toxic Masculinity : The episode delves into the harmful effects of toxic masculinity and the misconception that men must be unemotional and tough. Traver argues for a redefinition of masculinity that allows for emotional expression and healing. Communal Healing : Both speakers highlight the necessity of communal support systems where individuals can fall apart and be supported, emphasizing the power of shared healing experiences. Impact of Trauma : Traver shares heart-wrenching stories from his workshops, illustrating the deep-seated trauma many men carry and the urgent need for compassionate understanding and support. Global Perspectives on Masculinity : Lisa contrasts Western societal norms with observations from her travels in India, where men openly express affection and seem to experience higher levels of happiness despite having less material wealth. Cultural Divide and Healing : The episode concludes with a discussion on the need for men and women to understand and support each other better, breaking down societal barriers and working towards communal healing.
