In this episode Robin gives us a wonderful history of the definitions, research and applications of stability training vs general exercises for people with low back pain. Robin covers the research from the 80’s to present day and how the narrative has moved and changed, sometimes correctly and sometimes incorrectly.
Robin Kerr is an Australian trained physiotherapist with post graduate training in gait lab biomechanics and psychology. Over the last 35 years she has focused on research informed management of running injuries and pelvic floor issues. More recently her focus has shifted to persistent pain management as well as continuing to see elite athletes.
