John Celesky, Nick Andersen, and Xavier Carr respectively! "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, A Thriller Musical" opened on Broadway in 1979, and on the West End in 1980. Music and lyrics were written by Stephen Sondheim, and it is based on the 1970 play ("Sweeney Todd") by Christopher Bond. Book was written by Hugh Wheeler. It has won numerous Tony Awards, Laurence Olivier awards, and has had numerous Broadway and London revivals. SNAP!
