This episode is proof it's okay to constantly pivot, take on multiple projects or move country. The world is always your oyster, no matter your circumstances and Johanna is testament to that. If you want inspiration to try something new then have a listen!

Johanna also shares her passion for mental health across teams and events which we touch on later in the podcast.

After talking to a careers advisor who recommended languages, Johanna never could've predicted where they would take her. Fluent in German, English and French and proficient in Japanese, Afrikaans, Dutch and now learning Greek, Johanna is breaks barriers of what is considered ordinary in every sense - but especially in languages!

We find out how language and travel have shaped Johanna's upbringing and given her deeper insights into different cultures and hold amazing conversations with locals!

Johanna lives by example that change and uncertainty are to be embraced. She has jumped so fearlessly into new and otherwise daunting experiences; it is this fearlessness and faith in herself has seen her catapult into various new countries and careers.

Now, after having a career spanning so many spaces and having pivoted into event management, along with her husband, Johanna has created a course called "Event Mental Wellbeing". This course helps anyone involved with events to host events and event spaces that are centered around positive mental wellbeing. Whether it be for team managers, venues or event managers, it will help them prioritise mental health within their events and their team.

A true advocate that it is okay to be multifaceted and constantly pivoting and doing multiple things at once, listeners who enjoy taking on multiple projects will feel validated and, anyone wanting to take on new challenges will feel encouraged: perhaps even to learn a language but ultimately, live life and not be scared to pivot!
