As the G7 in Kananaskis approaches, former Canadian ambassador to Venezuela Ben Rowswell talks about how the list of invited countries (India, Saudi Arabia) shows that the “stakes” of the global meeting are now higher with the shifting of alliances between liberal democracies. Charlie Angus, former NDP MP, held a news conference at parliament Wednesday morning to give an “indictment” of President Donald Trump ahead of his attendance of the G7.
