Chris is also an engineer, author, mechatronics professor and a former
automation engineer at Alcoa (now Arconic) based in Pittsburgh, PA where
I had the distinct pleasure of first meeting and collaborating with him while I
was employed at ABB Robotics.
RealBotics develops real-time web-based technology for tele-operation and
control of robotic equipment and devices. They specialize in industrial
automation consulting and the remote control and remote troubleshooting
of robot processes and installations.
As mentioned, Chris is also an author. His newly released book, Robotic
Safety System – An Applied Approach, reboots the conversation about all
technologies relating to robot safety. It covers key features of industry
standards, relevant government regulations, hardware devices, physical
safeguards, and vendor-specific software implementations, including
@FANUC America #DualCheckSafety, @ABB Robotics #SafeMove and
more.
