Curtis grew up on a farm outside of Wilton, Iowa and is the youngest of three children. His parents, Jim and Cathy, started Miracles Can Happen Boys Ranch in 1992 when he was just 5 years old. After high school Curtis got recruited by multiple colleges to play football and decided to attend St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. After a semester of college he realized that he was going to school just to play football and decided it was best to find a full time job. On February 6th of 2008, Curtis' 21st birthday, he did what most people do on their 21st birthday, he went out to celebrate and over drank. Two days after a night of bar hopping he found himself in the Iowa City Police Station being charged with second degree murder. He life was was turned upside down because of a choice he had made on his 21st birthday. Today, he travels and speaks whenever God gives him the opportunity to about CHOICES. Curtis currently lives in Dallas Center, Iowa and is running his own construction business; Fry Construction, LLC. He is married and has three children.
