Anthony Oliveira is a Canadian author, journalist and pop culture critic. He’s the winner of multiple GLAAD Media Awards and National Magazine Awards for his prose, comics, and journalism, which often focus on the intersection of queerness, religion, and culture.


He wrote the internationally best-selling novel I alluded to, Dayspring, which won the 2024 Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ Emerging Writers and has written comics for Marvel Comics and Steven Universe, and others. He’s the creator and ongoing writer of Avengers Academy: Marvel's Voices and has works published in The Washington Post, Fangoria, StarTrek.com, and many others.
