First up, we've got the latest on the Rust case. The first AD, Dave Halls, plead no contest to one count of negligent use of a deadly weapon. He'll have to attend firearm safety classes, pay a fine, and testify truthfully if called upon. Next, jurors in the Gwyneth Paltrow case have spoken out, saying they took their responsibilities seriously and didn't let celebrity sway their decision.

Cousin Eddie was in court on April 4, 2023, for a bond reconsideration hearing, and while his bond was reinstated, it was made clear that he has health issues that aren't being addressed. He'll be on GPS monitoring and house arrest.

In other news, the defamation suit filed by Samantha Markle against Megan Markle was dismissed. The court ruled that Megan Markle didn't publish the statements made in the book "Finding Freedom" and they were dismissed with prejudice. As for the statements made to Opera, the court is allowing the allegations to be amended but seems skeptical about whether they'll ultimately hold up.

Finally, Todd and Julie Chrisley and their accountant have appealed their convictions. Todd is arguing for a remand over a failed hearing and an error in allowing in evidence obtained through an illegal search. Julie is arguing that the government didn't prove she participated in tax fraud and that there were errors in sentencing. Their CPA, Tarantino, argues that he was just doing his job and was tainted by being tried alongside the Chrisleys.
