Mabu Aamba (Yawuru for “Strong Man”) is a new network built on John’s lived experience — from decades working with men in schools, prisons, and community programs, to his own personal journey of survival after a kidney transplant. With the backing of Aarnja and Kimberley Aboriginal organisations, the initiative is creating a safe and culturally strong space for men to come together, heal, and reclaim their roles as fathers, uncles, leaders, and mentors.
