For 40 years, Daystar Life has served as a non-profit hub helping families and individuals in South St. Pete with food, clothing, financial assistance and more. Children and adults can work in the edible garden and learn about pollinators, growing plants, cooking with plants and making healthy meals. **On Wednesday, May 15, they are hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of our new children’s program, Little Bites of Hope, as well as the unveiling of our new name and logo; Daystar Life Center will become Daystar Life. This new space will serve as a healthy snack pantry and enrichment room for kids whose parents are receiving services at Daystar. They also plan to host kids programming such as arts & crafts, storytimes, and fun learning activities on a regular basis. It’s a big step forward in our mission to support the whole family with care and dignity.
**May 15: St. Pete Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting 11am-noon; followed by tours.
**May 17: St. Pete Eats podcaster Wendy Wesley's classes are a big part of Daystar. (Seen here in this photo). Says Wesley: "Fun, fun, fun! @daystarlifecenter Kids Eats last month. Gearing up for our May Kids eats May 17!"
