Stephen Fry's 7 Deady Sins - I will take each one of the Seven Sins in turn, lay them out on the surgical table and poke, prod, pry and provoke in an attempt to try to anatomise and understand them; I hope and believe it will be, if nothing else, delicious fun and something of a change from the usual run of podcastery. Today we are joined by Driller Jet Armstrong. Ex-police officer, DJ, visual artist, founder of the Daubist art movement and co-owner of popular night club Sugar. A fun and fascinating chat! We caught up in Driller's Bridgewater home to discuss his life, art, music and perspectives on culture, government and conservatism. We discuss the critical role of the nighttime economy, and frustrations around government interventions such as lock-out laws. Driller discusses how critical it is for us to address mistreatment of our indigenous culture, and to ensure we are better aware of Aboriginal history and art, have difficult conversations and most importantly but necessary actions in place. We discuss Daubism and the role art plays in Driller's life. A few tips on having a successful life, being 'cool' and much more. Real People is a podcast hosted by Jason Dunstone, the founder and managing director of Square Holes. Subscribe to Real People on your favourite podcast player. Jason builds on his 25 years of conducting human-centred research, interviewing average and not so average people (rich, poor, old, young, content and vulnerable) to understand what they believe and how they behave.
