God Promises to Bless Us (vv. 13–16)

God made unbreakable promises to Abraham—promises that seemed impossible in the face of infertility, age, and sacrifice. But Abraham held on, not with perfect clarity, but with a growing, imperfect trust. And just like Abraham, we are invited to rest in God’s promises, not our performance.

I will never leave you

I will complete the good work I began in you

I am coming back for you

God Always Keeps His Promises (vv. 17–20)

God, knowing how fragile we are, doesn’t just promise—He backs it up with an oath. Why? Not because He might lie, but because we so often doubt. And then He gives us the ultimate anchor—Jesus, who has gone before us, securing access to God, interceding for us as our forever High Priest.
