With Revelation 8 we transition from the Seven Seals to the Seven Trumpets--the third cycle of seven of the book. Whereas the Seals focused on the security of the sealed ones, the Trumpets are warning blasts of judgment to come upon the wicked--the ones who persecuted the seals.
