Have You Ever Asked?
Manage episode 479783137 series 3608850
Have you ever asked what a Buddhist mother, a Christian mother, a Hindu mother, a Jewish mother, a Muslim mother, or any other mother would want for her children.
Rabbi Jonathan Sachs said, children are the guardians of our future. It is not what we leave to them, that really matters. It is what we leave in them. Jesus said, let the little children come to me and do not hinder them. For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these, the prophet Muhammad said he is not one of us who does not show mercy to the little ones and respect to the elders and Frederick Douglas said. It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.
I think they would all say they would want their children to grow up to be adults who are merciful, who demonstrate price like values. Who are guardians of their heritage and who are emotionally strong adults.
