Welcome to "Rein it In with Ash and Josh," the podcast where we dive into the world of equestrian sports and explore the stories of remarkable individuals who have made a significant impact in this field. In our upcoming episode, we have the pleasure of introducing Joe Bright, a true equestrian enthusiast and Director of Rider and Trainer.
From a young age, Joe discovered a special connection with horses, finding solace and joy in riding rather than traditional sports. As a child with hearing and speech difficulties, Joe's bond with these majestic creatures became his sanctuary. Starting in riding schools, his passion for equestrianism blossomed, and he ventured into show jumping and eventing through the pony club.
Joe firmly believes that the principles of dressage can benefit any horse and rider partnership, regardless of their chosen discipline. With his compassionate approach and extensive experience in producing horses, he has helped numerous individuals achieve their goals. After completing his apprenticeship with Dane Rawlins, Joe returned to his roots in Kent and became the yard manager and rider for a local dressage rider. During this time, he successfully competed at the Advanced level and trained young horses from Preliminary to Advanced.
In 2012, Joe's talent and dedication were recognized when he became the BYRDS B Squad National Champion. This achievement fueled his drive to further develop his skills, leading him to receive regular training from renowned experts Damian Hallam and Paul Fielder since 2015. Joe's journey in the equestrian world has been nothing short of remarkable, and he has been running his own business since the age of 21, all while producing horses up to Grand Prix level.
Join us in this upcoming episode as we delve into Joe Bright's remarkable story, his unwavering commitment to the equestrian community, and how his passion for dressage has helped shape his career. Whether you're a seasoned rider, an aspiring equestrian, or simply fascinated by the world of horses, this episode promises to inspire and educate.
