. This week Dave Algeo and Martin Whitaker get together to discuss the things that are often overlooked when embarking on a journey to lose weight with the help of GLP1 Agonists (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists) like Mounjaro.

This is a two part episode which focuses on the psychological aspects as well as the physiological side. This week in part 1, Martin and Dave explore the essentials when it comes to diet and exercise.

This episode is not intended as medical advice and both Dave and Martin recognise they are not experts in the medication itself. The aim is to highlight some of the areas that are often overlooked and can therefore lead to problems along the way and may ultimately derail the longer term weight-loss success.

Martin shares 3 areas to consider when it comes to your nutrition and exercise and your hosts explore how to make this less overwhelming and more achievable.

David Algeo Dave Algeo is a Weight-loss and Eating Behaviour Change Coach. His mission is to empower burned-out midlifers to regain control of their weight, health and life - reagaining a zest for adventure in midlife and beyond.

Martin Whitaker is an experienced MSc level strength and conditioning coach who has worked with clients from a range of background including Team GB athletes. He is currently working on his PhD and specialises in supporting those seeking to find the exercise and nutrition mix that is right for them,
