Stephanie Olson talks to Jodi Stout, a woman who is all too familiar with loss and grief. Jodi shares how God transformed her life through her grief.
Jodi Stout of Havana, IL has been married to her husband Mike for 25 years. Jodi has 2 children, 2 Bonus children and is Grandma to 8 beautiful grandchildren, including a 3-month-old grandson who entered heaven in 2014 and a 16-year-old grandson who entered heaven in 2020. Both grandsons died a preventable death.
Jodi knows grief intimately. She has walked through a journey from surface Christianity to a deeper more dependent walk with Jesus and a purpose driven life learning to trust God and submit daily to His will. Through her faith she has turned her tests into a testimony. Out of Jodi’s grief were birthed two ministries that enable her to reach others who need the same hope she does daily.
Jodi is a Speaker, Leader of Group 15 (a small-group ministry for local teens in memory of her 16-year-old grandson), and Founder/President of Mountain Top Journey, a retreat ministry for adults designed to help them release, reconnect, relax and be rejuvenated from life’s traumas. She is also known as “Grandma Jodi” to nearly most every teenager in her hometown of Havana.
Her mission is to help others through their grief, to find the peace that only God can provide. It is a mission determined to help others turn their tests in life to testimonies that will change other lives. Jodi strives to be a difference maker to others through her love for Jesus.
