Fentanyl is a drug that is always talked about on the news for the havoc it causes in destroying people's lives. Hearing about what Fentanyl does to the mind and body from a person who has never experienced addiction before tends to do more harm than good, however. The dehumanization of addicts is widespread and rampant within media, and people are often conditioned to have no sympathy for those suffering with drug use and abuse.
It's important to hear and uplift the stories of those who suffered at the hands of drug use and abuse. Today's guest speaker on the Ride The Wave Podcast is David Strade, a man who knows the pain and struggles of using and getting clean from Fentanyl. David's journey helps us remember that all humans, regardless of their struggles, deserve compassion and support through the roughest parts of their lives. This episode of Ride The Wave reminds us that struggling addicts are no less human than anyone else around them, and that uplifting their experiences and stories will lead to positive change.
