#4: This week Liz and Bryce sit down for a solo episode, exploring what it means to take up space and be willing to show up as ourselves. Liz emphasizes the various versions of herself that shine through depending on the situation. While she has different sides, they all make up her authentic self and the skill is to bring them out at the right time.
For Bryce, it is easier to show up in spaces if it tied to something bigger than him and serves as a way to contribute to the community. He's able to show up with energy and authenticity if it means someone else will benefit. Tune into the episode to hear more of their conversation, including:

  • Why Liz prefers to uplift stories from the recovery community as opposed to record solo episodes.
  • Bryce's take on taking up space on the podcast: "someone will hear you talk and really relate and find community by you being yourself."
  • How to be a leaders in a space, looking at the example of Scott Strode and Jacki Hillios.
