June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month (ABAM), and all month long, the Alzheimer's Association is holding special events to share facts about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. What a perfect time to talk to Elizabeth McMasters about how her law firm helps in supporting families with loved ones who are suffering.
This is a must listen to for anyone who has a loved one that is showing signs of an impaired ability to remember, think, or make decisions that interferes with their ability to do everyday activities.
Though dementia mostly affects older adults, it is not a part of normal aging. Of those at least 65 years of age, there were an estimated 5.0 million adults with dementia in 2014 and there is projected to be nearly 14 million by 2060. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia.
