As the toxic algal bloom continues to spread in South Australian waters, there are new fears for the state's seafood industry.

Due to low levels of brevetoxin, the SA government has closed one of the state's biggest oyster growing regions at Franklin Harbour, on the Eyre Peninsula's east coast. And while other oyster regions have been able to safely reopen in recent days, producers fear a pushback against local seafood.
