Last term it was taming inflation -- this term it's jump-starting productivity that will be the government's main economic focus, according to treasurer Jim Chalmers.

And now the Productivity Commission has shed some light on the areas it thinks could be ripe for reform as it prepares to make recommendations to the government later this year.
