Embracing Your Feelings: The First Step Towards Healing Your Grief

Welcome back to sacred sunsets! Last week, we went into many tools and ways to process grief. I feel like there was so much packed into that episode that over the next few episodes, we’re going to break those things down into separate episodes. The first thing we talked about last week was allowing yourself to feel all the feelings that come up in the loss you’ve had. Specifically, what I said was:
- it’s super important to acknowledge Your Feelings: Allow yourself to fully experience and acknowledge the range of emotions you're feeling. It's okay and totally normal to feel lost, sad, or even angry. Recognizing these emotions is the first step toward healing. Ignoring or stuffing these feelings inside can cause prolonged suffering in your grief. We have to go through the feelings. We can’t skip over or around them or they will plague us long term.
