In this podcast Dr. Norma Cuellar, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Transcultural Nursing, and Dr. Lauren Clark, author of “A humanizing gaze for transcultural nursing research will tell the story of health disparities,” published in the April 2014 issue discuss innovative ways to look at health disparities across diverse cultures, without dehumanizing the patient. Dr. Clark is a full professor at the University of Utah and is currently a “Transcultural Scholar,” an honor bestowed by the Transcultural Nursing Society. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
