This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. Since 1985, the National Ability Center has empowered individuals of all abilities through world-class outdoor recreation and leadership training. Headquartered in Park City with two Moab locations, they offer a plethora of adaptive programs. CEO, Willie Ford, joins us with more. Willie Ford: At the National Ability Center, we celebrate all abilities and redefine perceived limitations through the spirit of “I Can.” Through more than 20 adaptive programs — including skiing, cycling, horseback riding, climbing, and more — we empower individuals to discover what’s possible. And with on-site lodging, participants and their families can fully immerse in the experience. Last year, we delivered over 30,000 transformative experiences to more than 5,500 individuals with disabilities, veterans, and their families helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and connect through adventure and sport. This is all made possible by our amazing community of donors, partners, and volunteers who support our mission every day. With a 40-year legacy and a national reach that’s growing, we are proud to call Utah home and to be part of the state’s thriving spirit of innovation, and impact. Our vision is bold: it’s to meet the evolving needs of millions living with disabilities here in Utah and across the country. Derek Miller: The National Ability Center stays true to its mission, creating a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy recreation and the power of inclusion.
