Different denominations see confession in the Christian Church very differently; including the largest differences between the Protestant and Catholic Churches. Today we talk about those differences and why it's still important that the Protestant Church practice confession.
This episode includes:

  • Tabernacle worship model that many of our churches still follow today and how confession came from this model.
  • Present-day Catholic models of confession and protestant models of confession.
  • "Priesthood of all believers." What is it and why do denominations believe this.
  • James 5:16 reading and explanation.
  • Risks & benefits of confession in the modern day church.
  • Being forgiven & forgiving yourself.
  • Carrying each other's burdens.
  • Matthew 5:22-25 reminds us that we need to make amends with each other and that is more important than our worship.
  • How we become a safe place for others to confess within the church and outside the church.
