How did life on earth start? Evolutionists assert that life began on earth about 3.7-4.5 billion years ago. This is based on radiometric dating of the fossil record and the rock beds they are found in. While this time frame is questionable, a bigger question is how did life arise at that time? Could it have emerged spontaneously from non-living material? Could it have come to earth from outer space?
