Buddha is credited to have stated ‘What we think, we become.’ So let me ask you this – can you be negative and not know it? I asked my friend Google this question and was floored with the resounding yes.

Yes, you can be negative and not know it. And in today’s job market, feeling defeated and being discouraged can become a norm. And believe me, allowing yourself to slip into negativity does make a difference when conducting a job search.

Negativity and self-doubt will decrease your motivation and persistence. It will also limit your perspective, keeping you from seeing the bigger picture or considering possibilities. And importantly, dwelling on past rejections may prevent you from focusing on new opportunities.

You may not even try.

So how do you know if you are stuck in negativity? And if you are, how do you break free from it? In today’s podcast, we tackle the topic of ‘what we think, we become’. We share real stories of individuals who have sabotaged their candidacy because of their mindset.

And, we share tangible steps on how to overcome yourself…how to get out of your own way so that you can be successful in the job search. Join us as we discuss how to become a victor in your situation.
