Ally Hongo is the cofounder of Shiitake Creative KK which has produced the Japan Travel Awards since 2021. The awards are focused on better Japan travel for the inbound market which are also sustainable, accessible, and inclusive for LGBTQ & families - so these places, people and destinations are welcoming to all people who love to travel.

Originally from Bulgaria, Ally has had a long and interesting career in Japan as a student, academic, reporter, writer, editor and content creator.
