Manage episode 489747308 series 2892365
The NHL offseason is well underway and Matt and Blake have got you covered. After a trade and a few re-signings, the guys debate the urgency of the Canucks to get business done before July 1st free agency, including the possibility of getting a discounted Evander Kane from the Oilers. Kane is also part of a new NHL investigation into LTIR manipulation, is that what the NHL needs to do more of these days? Plus, Matt and Blake preview game 4 for the Abby Canucks as they look for a 3-1 series lead in the Calder Cup final. Patrick Johnston of Postmedia makes his weekly visit to talk about the Canucks ownership situation and the search for a new co-owner. PJ also talks about the value of Evander Kane at this point in his career and the possibility of new LTIR legislation in the next CBA. The Daily Hive's Rob Williams stops by to talk about the recent flurry of NHL transactions and the urgency for the Canucks. He talks about finding the next Sam Bennett, Rob re-lives his suggestion from 2020 suggesting a Virtanen for Bennett trade, and whether Kane is a fit in Vancouver. The guys finish up with an injury update from the Lions, Concacaf looking into further punishment of Canadian coach Jesse Marsch, and the Vancouver Canadians finally lost a game??
