On this episode of Selective Ignorance, Mandii B takes a deep dive into accountability and justice within the Black community and the criminal justice system. Joined by special guests Selena Hill (Black Enterprise) and criminal defense attorney Kenneth J. Montgomery, the conversation unpacks sentencing disparities, performative activism, and the role of education and community in addressing crime.The discussion begins with (00:00) a call for accountability in the Black community before examining (02:45) disparities in the justice system. Selena and KJM explore (06:08) crime and punishment, questioning fairness and consequences, and discuss the balance between community responsibility and individual accountability (09:03).
